How long does a diaper yeast rash take to go away with prescription anti fungal cream?

You should see a difference pretty quickly, but my daughter%26#039;s took about 2 weeks to clear up. We were told not to use baby wipes on her during that time. We either rinsed her in the tub (if possible) or used wet paper towels. good luck, hun.|||I have a secret that works in a day or two: Mix A LOT of diaper rash ointment with a smaller amount (so it doesn%26#039;t hurt the newborn skin) of over the counter first aid antibiotic ointment (use both ointments-I use A%26amp;D as well as a generic antibiotic first aid ointment). Put it on the rash liberally and it will clear up by tomorrow or the next day. It truly works....but, you might want to ask your doctor if the antibiotic ointment is okay for your younger baby%26#039;s skin. I didn%26#039;t ask mine (I would if I had a newborn today just because I%26#039;m more anal about these things now) but it didn%26#039;t hurt my son at all. It helped tremendously.|||You should see a result within 24 hours. Remember to pat the baby%26#039;s bottom dry well before applying the cream. Wash your hands before and after. Expect results within a few days. If this continues take your baby back and get checked out further!|||If there is no improvement in 48 hours you need to switch creams. Not all rashes will go away in 48 hours, it can take a week or more, but if there is NO noticeable improvement in 48 hours chances are that particular cream isn%26#039;t going to work.

When my son had this problem, and it was pretty serious, Nystatin cream worked rather quickly. It just seemed to quiet the rash down rather quickly and effectively.
