Just what has already been said, when your baby is that old you don%26#039;t usually need to bath him every day. Usually it%26#039;s okay to just wipe them off with a damp rag around there chin and hands. Also cleaning after all the diaper changes and wiping of mouth and nose after feedings, most babies may only need to be bathed two or three times a week or every other day. If the dryness does continue just be sure to use baby lotion on them. Use a moisturizer that is made specifically for your baby%26#039;s special needs, such as Johnson%26#039;s Soothing Naturals Nourishing Lotion or Johnson%26#039;s Soothing Naturals Intense Moisture Cream|||My youngest also suffered with dry skin, but bathing him every other day is fine, and also what washing powder do you use? It can make a big difference..

My doctor prescribed aqueous cream for my son and it worked wonders..

When you do bathe, use a non-scented lotion *every* time.|||A babies skin dries out very easily and too frequent bathing will only make it worse. It%26#039;s not really necessary to bathe your baby every day. If you%26#039;re having trouble with his skin I would only bathe him every two to three days and use baby lotion to moisturize. Obviously you will need to keep his bottom clean by changing diapers frequently and cleaning with wipes, etc. and give sponge baths inbetween.

My health visitor gave me a prescription for Oilatum Junior, the cream and the stuff you add to the bath, they work liked magic! Within 3 days they%26#039;d cleared his dry rashes, which had been there for 6 weeks! She told me I might need to try a few different brands to see what would work for him, but luckily this one did.|||Stop bathing him every day!
That will dry his skin out.
Use aqueous as often as every nappy change if you need to. there%26#039;s no limit to the amount of times you can use it :)
Also, speak to your doctor about getting a prescription for a cream caalled DiproBase. Please do not use E45, it%26#039;s too harsh!|||don%26#039;t bathe him every day, you remove the bodies natural oils. 2 month olds dont get dirty, a bath 2 times a week is enough.|||2 month olds do not need to be bathed everyday, only on average 3 times per week.

Try every other day and use the lotion everyday.|||I agree! Babies don%26#039;t need lotions- and you clean their bottom well every time you change them. If you want to sponge bathe their bottom once a day that is fine- but you should not be bathing him every day. He%26#039;s much too young for that. Wait until he%26#039;s crawling and sitting on his own. He%26#039;ll appreciate frequent baths by then.|||My daughter was a few days late being born and this can cause dry skin. What did my midwife recommend i use? Extra Virgin Olive Oil ! Just rub it in the palm of your hands to warm and smoothe all over. Check with pharmacist first though, but we used it on our kids, should be OK|||it%26#039;ll go away by age 3.... but check out wiht a doctor cuz i used to have dry skin and my mom just kept giving me hyrdrating lotion and skin lotion na dit wokred|||There%26#039;s your problem. Do NOT bathe him every day. At that age, every 3 days is fine.|||wipe him down with a lukewarm washclot......and bathe him every other day|||You can bath every day just don%26#039;t use harsh soaps on him. Use a mild cleanser like Cetaphyl on him. Also put baby oil into the tub for extra moisture. (Be careful they become slippery little pigs.) Rub generously with a good quality lotion EVERY time, such as Aveeno. My grandson%26#039;s dermatologist even said to use Vaseline gooped all over. It seals in moisture.|||Most of these answers say the same thing over and over again. No, he may not be dirty, but he nas a routine. I would be willing to bet if you asked how to help him sleep, or what kind of nightly routine, all these answers would include a bath. Yes, bathing can dry skin, which is why there is lotion. Even every 3 day, it still washes away oils. Just replace them right after a bath, every time. Also, try not usung soap every time. Just let him sit/lay, sponge him off, and that is good. But, keep the routine you have set in place. Just add the lotion every day. You may also try a diff. lotion. I use J%26amp;J and it works well.|||A newborns skin is very sensative and dries out very easily.

That what I do with my son and every complimates me on his skin... how it has good color and its nice and soft not dry...|||Quit bathing him everyday (I think you have heard that enough!) and when you do, every other day, use Aveeno products.
